Welcome to the Simsbury Soccer Club

The Simsbury Soccer Club (SSC) exists to promote player's appreciation of soccer, to develop player's skills necessary for team play, to provide equal opportunity for the development of individual players, and to accommodate every Simsbury youth who wants to play, regardless of ability level.

The SSC philosophy stresses the development of player's physical fitness and fundamental soccer skills, but equal emphasis is placed on good sportsmanship, building lasting friendships, and the sheer fun of participation.

Fall Soccer Registration - Updated 7/20

Fall registration for the Club’s Recreation and Farmington Valley programs is open.

Below are the key registration dates:

  • Early registration has been extended to July 28th with no late fees
  • Amnesty Day is will be August 5th (Please note: this is the absolute last day to sign up for fall soccer as we are switching uniform vendors and using a new registration system – late fees will apply)

To register for fall soccer, please click on the registration icon below:

Program descriptions for all fall program can be found under the Recreation Overview tab on the new website.

Please note that since we are switching to a new uniform vendor and are using a new registration system, Amnesty Day on August 5th will be the absolute final day to register for fall soccer – no exceptions will be granted after August 5th.  The Club needs the time to configure the new system and order new uniforms for every program.

Coach Garlick recognized as Simsbury Hometown Hero

Players from all of Jerry's teams join him to celebrate.

Coach Garlick was nominated by friends, families, and players from his 25 years of coaching Simsbury Soccer teams. Jerry you truly are a hero and an inspiration to us all. Congratulations to our Hometown Hero Coach Garlick!

History of the award

Initiated in 1986 by Governor William O'Neill as part of the 350th Anniversary of the founding of Connecticut, towns were invited to designate residents as "Hometown Heroes" for any deed or service that made the community a better place in which to live. Since that time, the Town of Simsbury has recognized its own Hometown Heroes at a special ceremony.

Selection Process

A Selection Committee, consisting of the First Selectman, representatives of the Board of Selectmen, the Historical Society and the business community, along with a previous Hometown Hero and a member of a service or Veteran's organization reviews nominations of individuals who have demonstrated selfless and altruistic behavior which contributes significantly to the betterment of the Town.
