Simsbury Soccer Club's U6 program is an interactive educational soccer program for children who were born in the birth year indicated above and introduces them to soccer through a six-week, one hour clinic facilitated by a professional trainer. The program will focus on individual skills and developing a level of comfort with the ball and the game of soccer.
Click here to Volunteer as a U6 Coach. Parents are encouraged to help out and coach. Prior to the season there will be a coaching clinic to help parents become more comfortable on the field and understanding the skills being taught at this age group.
Each practice will follow a clinic format, where the professional trainer will demonstrate new skills and games for the volunteers to implement with their teams. The trainers will circulate through the teams assisting the volunteers in working with the players.
There will be no competitive games at this level. Players will be divided into "teams" of 6-8 players along with a volunteer parent and assistant.
This program is only for children who were born in the year indicated above.
