Every U11 & Up Travel Team may enter CJSA's CT Cup (not to be confused with the State Cup which is the name of the Cup for Premier Teams).  Below are some key points to keep in mind regarding CT Cup Play:

  • Rosters:  Player passes, coaches' passes, and a copy of a stamped frozen certified roster (a certified roster must have been reviewed and signed by the coach) must be on-hand in all cup games. Don't forget to bring them.

  • Game Length: U11-U14: Two 35 minute halves; OT: Two 10 minute periods.  U15 and up:  Two 40 minute halves; OT: Two 10 minute periods.  If a game is still tied a penalty kick shootout will be used to determine the winning team except in the finals; if the match is still tied after overtime periods, Co-Champions will be declared.

  • Game Scheduling:  Weekend games must be scheduled for start between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM for the Fall Competition and 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM for the Spring Competition.  If both teams agree to play a game outside of the start window you need approval from the Boy or Girls Chair or the Cup Chair.  If a game started outside of 10am and 3pm (Fall) or 5pm (Spring) window is not completed (thunder storm, darkness, etc.) and a teams didn’t get permission to start outside of the required time window the game will be considered not played and neither team will advance.  If you received permission to start the game outside of the required time window and it can’t be completed be sure to call the boys or girls Cup Chair and/or the Cup Chair.
